Drop Zone – Week 14 Droppable Players

It’s playoff time! Did you make it? I sure hope you did. If you’re making waiver claims this week it most likely means you’re fighting for something, whether it’s first place or staying away from claiming last. My philosophy for the playoffs is to bolster your team with high-upside and high-floor players. Most of these players I’ll list below have been at their floor these past few weeks and they’ll just hurt you moving forward.

Do you drop them or do you hold on to them? Should you fear their drop in usage? I’ll help you answer those! Every week I’ll be highlighting some players who are either losing opportunity on offense or underperforming based on their ownership percentage.

This can be used as a helpful way to decide on some players you can drop to waivers for the hot new items on the market. Maybe you’re on the fence about a bench player and seeing his name on this list will help you make that final decision!

I will only mention players with over 35% ownership because you can’t drop who you don’t have.

Let’s do this!

Jerry Jeudy – 80% Ownership

Jerry Jeudy’s fantasy season was saved with a 25.5 PPR point game in week 9 against Atlanta but has only hit double-digits once since then. Drew Lock hasn’t been great in the passing game and his targets have almost been evenly split among Jeudy, Noah Fant, KJ Hamler and Tim Patrick. Another 0-point game recipient last week and following it up with a 1.5 point showing this week doesn’t leave a fun taste heading into playoffs. It’s okay, your teams will be fine without him.

Darius Slayton – 69% Ownership

In their last four games, Darius Slayton is fourth on the team in targets with 11. He’s slipping in the pecking order in this receiver group and with Daniel Jones sidelined with an injury it looks a lot worse. Slayton put up a whopping 0 points last week against Cincinnati and followed it up with 2.4 points against the worst passing defense (Seattle) in the league.

Zack Moss – 63% Ownership

That stretch from weeks 7-9 where Zack Moss looked like the guy in Buffalo was the best. Since then, he’s looked meh and his usage has tanked. This past week he had three carries for nine yards and one reception on just 15% of Buffalo’s offensive snaps. Josh Allen has been on fire in the passing game and has allowed the team to not run as often, especially when he can take it himself. Moss’s upside is extremely limited and moving forward I’m okay with him off my teams.

Drop Zone returnees that I’m still dropping

Travis Fulgham – 56% Ownership

Jerick McKinnon – 53% Ownership

AJ Green – 51% Ownership
