Rumor has it that you’re still looking for a defense to stream in your fantasy football lineups for week 12. Is that the case? Well look no further, I’ve got you covered!
You can actually check out my full DST rankings here if you’re interested!
I’ll be highlighting DSTs that may still be available in your leagues, the ones that weren’t signed on waivers. These are DSTs that are still below a 35% in roster percentage on ESPN that I feel are startable if you’re still searching.
These options are only for the teams who didn’t pick someone up on waivers this week and still need a startable DST for the week. Your waivers may look barren and the top options are off the board, but I’ve got a few teams that may still be hanging around on your waivers.
My projections are based on Vegas odds, defensive and offensive player projections, starters, and positional matchups. These are your defensive detours!
Defenses Under 35% Roster Percentage
HOU Texans – 22.8%
Opponent – NYJ
This matchup puts one bad team up against another bad team. These two, however, seem to both be able to beat some of the best teams in the league. What does that mean for this matchup? I’m not entirely sure, but I do know that the Jets are starting rookie QB Zach Wilson (not by choice, as both Joe Flacco and Mike White are in COVID protocol). This means that we have a juicy matchup for a Houston DST that has been top-5 of fantasy scoring in the past two games they’ve played. I love this stream and they’re most likely still available!
PHI Eagles – 23.5%
Opponent – NYG
This should be a fun start. The Eagles have been looking like a great defense in recent weeks while facing a really bad Giants offense (who just fired their offensive coordinator). Vegas has this matchup as a close, low-scoring matchup between two divisional rivals. I also see this as a low-scoring matchup, but much more favorable to the Eagles than 3.5 points. Give me a steady Eagles DST this week against a bad Giants offense.
CIN Bengals – 13.6%
Opponent – PIT
This is a DEEEEEEP play for DST this week, but I actually dig them enough to start them in a few leagues. The Steelers offense has been really slow and the Bengals defense played a solid game against the Raiders last week. I see this DST play being a deep desperate play if you can’t play any other top options, but still feel good about playing them.
Defenses Under 50% Roster Percentage
CHI Bears – 45.5%
Opponent – DET
The Lions QBs this season are BAD. There’s no other way to put it, but both Jared Goff and Tim Boyle are not good. If the Bears DST is available in your league you must pick them up and start them this week. I truly don’t think it matters if you have a DST you’ve been starting weekly, this is a top overall start. It’ll be a great way to start your Week 12 with a solid DST performance on Thanksgiving.
