It’s week 4 of the NFL season and week 4 of your fantasy football leagues. Are you still searching for that DST to start this week?
I’ll be highlighting DSTs that may still be available in your leagues, the ones that weren’t signed on waivers. These are DSTs that are still below a 35% in roster percentage on ESPN that I feel are startable if you’re still searching.
These options are only for the teams who didn’t pick someone up on waivers this week and still need a startable DST for week 4. Your waivers may look barren and the top options are off the board, but I’ve got a few teams that may still be hanging around on your waivers.
My projections are based on Vegas odds, defensive and offensive player projections, starters, and positional matchups. These are your defensive detours!
DSTs Under 35% Roster %
DET Lions – 2.2%
Opponent – CHI
Justin Fields was sacked by the Browns nine times last week. The Lions don’t have as great of a defensive threat, but they’re not too far behind. The Bears have an implied total of 22 in a low-scoring affair in this matchup. I think the Lions are a solid start in a matchup where the Bears could give up a few sacks and not score a lot.
MIA Dolphins – 25.7%
Opponent – IND
The Colts have an implied total just over 20 in another low-scoring matchup. Miami is currently the 11th best DST this season in fantasy scoring and I don’t personally see the Colts offense as a threat this week. Expect another low scoring game and another week where Miami can get another turnover or two.
GB Packers – 17.7%
Opponent – PIT
Ben Roethlisberger is having a bad moment. The Bengals last week had two interceptions, four sacks and a forced fumble. I believe that the Packers have a better defense and should be able to take advantage of Ben’s offensive downfall. Vegas also happens to have Pittsburgh at an implied total below 20 and those are matchups that I favor for DST streams.
