What is NFL All Day?

Remember NBA Top Shot? The NBA-sponsored NFT moment phenomenon that took over last year? Well, it’s younger brother, NFL All Day, is starting to crawl.

If you’re unfamiliar with Top Shot or All Day overall and have a few questions, we’re here to help.

Something to note – NFL All Day is still in Beta! This means there is a waitlist to join, but also a few hiccups to be expected until it fully launches.

What is NFL All Day?

NFL All Day is a company, owned and operated by Dapper Labs, that allows users to buy and collect digital football highlights from the NFL. The whole thing is backed by the NFL and all highlights are officially licensed by the league. Currently the only way to gain an NFL All Day highlight is by purchasing packs, but a marketplace is soon to be launched.

So what is it all exactly? With the use of the blockchain (you know, the computer stuff that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are based on), Dapper Labs created a digital collectible marketplace for NFL highlights. The use of Blockchain allows for these moments to be impossible to hack or even duplicate, which is the draw to these moments.

Think of it in the same vein as collectible cards. You own the physical copy of these cards. Someone else may have the same card, but you have your own specific version. That is almost exactly what these All Day highlights are. Owning a highlight, you own that version of the moment and you are the only one with that serial number.

What are NFL All Day Highlights?

Each NFL Highlight (the items you collect in All Day) are officially licensed NFL digital collectibles. Picture them as digital trading cards, but instead of a static image they are little clips of highlights from NFL games that you “own” digitally. For example, you can own a piece of Tyreek Hill’s touchdown in that awesome Bills/Chiefs game, or Tom Brady’s final touchdown in the NFL!

These highlights all have a certain amount minted. So for example, there may be 10,000 copies of Tyreek’s touchdown and you may own the number 355/10,000. There are going to be plenty of releases of different NFL highlights from this past season and others. The Beta is currently going weekly by each NFL playoff week.

When do NFL All Day packs drop?

The next drop is scheduled for Friday, March 11th. There will be two drops taking place: a Standard Drop ($49 packs) at 2PM ET and a Premium Pack Drop ($249 packs) at 6PM ET. Queues open an hour prior to the drop, so show up early in hopes of claiming a spot!

Both pack drops will feature Moments from Week 18. You can find out more by reading their blog post or joining the NFL All Day Discord and getting involved in the discussions!
